Mrs. Johnston

Before becoming the 5th grade teacher here at St. Mary's School, I had previously lived in Cleveland, Ohio where I attended Cleveland State University and received my bachelors degree in Middle Childhood Education grades 4-9.  Josephine and I moved back to Ellis to be closer to my family, and for two years I worked at Wilson Elementary in Hays as a paraprofessional. In that time I married Lyle Johnston and this last year we had our daughter Meredith. In my free time I enjoy being a member of my church's council, a member of the Ellis Public Library Board, and spending time with my friends. I truly love being a part of the St. Mary's School community and the kiddos that enter my classroom mean the world to me!
