Miss Honas

 

 

I grew up in Ellis so being able to teach in the same town that I have lived in my whole life is a great feeling.  I graduated from Ellis High School in 2006 and began classes at FHSU the summer after!  In 2010 I graduated from Fort Hays with my degree in Elementary Education.  I bought a house in 2010 where I currently live with my dog Myla!  While waiting for something to open up in Ellis, I did a lot of substitute teaching in the surrounding schools until I got a job as the Second Grade Teacher here at St. Mary's!  This is my 3rd year of teaching, and while it hasn't always been easy, it has most definitely been worth it. This year I have nine students in my class; four boys and five girls!  They are a fun group and keep me on my toes for sure!  They are excited to make their First Reconciliation as well as First Communion!
